Air TravelTo Sweden from North America – As with hotels, most U.S. travel sites, such as www.kayak.com, www.priceline.com, www.expedia.com, and www.orbitz.com are very good for booking airfare to Stockholm. Though it can be expensive especially in the summer, fares have been coming down slightly of late but it’s best not to wait until the last minute. We will try to keep on top of good fares and will be happy to assist anyone who wants direction. Direct service between the U.S. and Sweden is operated by SAS Scandinavian Airlines in cooperation with United Airlines and other members of Star Alliance. Most flights to Stockholm require one connection, but there are some nonstops, for example out of Atlanta, Boston, Newark, and Philadelphia. Most European airlines fly to Stockholm from North America via connection in Europe, and most European airlines do not charge a baggage surcharge. For information about air travel to and from Sweden visit the website for the LFV Group, which is responsible for air navigation services in Sweden. |
